The People Behind the Penguin

Fandor Product Team

What’s it like working at Fandor? Hear first-hand from the people who know best.

They say it takes a village to raise a child, but the same could be said about a start-up.

Here at Fandor, we’re tackling some tough—but exciting and thoroughly invigorating—challenges: how to offer easy access to an extensive selection of amazing films from all over the globe, deliver a high-quality viewing experience across multiple platforms and solve the status quo structural problems that exist in the film distribution space. It’s a good thing we have endless energy and a bottomless pot of coffee at our disposal.

And an amazing team. We’ve assembled a crew of specialists, each of who brings distinct skills and knowledge to the table. The Fandor office is populated with experts in cinema, IT, journalism, computer engineering, marketing, film distribution and other various fields; it’s a special mix that has created a unique and exciting work environment where cross-team collaboration and the open exchange of ideas are the norm, not the exception.

We recently had the opportunity to share a little bit about what it’s like to to be a part of team Fandor with our friends at Traba. For those of you who aren’t familiar, Traba is a free online service that helps individuals discover companies and jobs they’ll love (“discover your happy place” is their motto). If you’d like to get a better picture of what it is we do here at Fandor—and why it’s so great to work here—you can visit our page on Traba and watch a few videos where we talk about who we are and what makes us tick. These are real Fandor employees, people, not paid actors.
