Craig Fong

Craig Robert Fong (Born on 22 October 1970, in Carnarvon, Australia) is an Australian born, Chinese actor. Craig is famous for his role as Admiral Liu Yun in the Malaysian film, The Malay Chronicles: Bloodlines. Craig also performs in TV series and short films. Craig Fong was born in Carnarvon, Western Australia. In this small country town of 5283 residents, in junior high he was cast as a Native American in the stage comedy Custards Last Stand. He moved to Perth to continue his studies at Rossmoyne High School but there were no drama classes, instead he picked up photography. After high school he enrolled into the Central Institute of Technology majoring in animation and film. During his three years he won Best Television Commercial and his actor Matt Thompson won Best Male Actor for a short film he made in 1991 at the FTI Fremantle Film Festival. The following year he was nominated for Best Documentary at the same event. His girlfriend at the time, a model introduced him to her agent and he was cast in his first television commercial for Western Australian Tourism. It was at this stage Craig left Perth and drove to Sydney to pursue an acting career.
