The is a 4++ film. It isn't a film you merely watch, it draws you in, you become involved, you care about what is happening. You watch the moth circling ever closer to the flame. You fear what will happen. You are helpless to change anything.
Several times it was so painful to watch, that I was about to jump ahead, skip a part - but I could not. I watched clear to the end.
Really an excellent film. I found nothing to criticize. Don't miss it!

I write my reviews while I’m watching so if you read this, you’ll know the movie… sort of, through my eyes.
Unsettling and really quite enjoyable. Blaise is great creepy. He looks like George Thorogood’s somewhat better looking stepchild. Wrong though, this whole thing. She’s a kid, really, despite the body. The dude’s got his own kid and despite his storied past, it really doesn’t matter. But the fight with the wife and the kid and the Camille, well that’s just sad. His wife kind of looks like Camille, duly noted. And he’s creepy, I mean, the dude looks like an eighties gargoyle. The brother in law’s a good guy, like some old silent movie good guy.
Thank god, he’s leaving!
Camille’s dad is amazing. The boyfriend’s well cast. He should be star – not so much for the acting chops but for the face. But what’s with Camille coming upon the friend with boyfriend and acting all surprised? Like you didn’t stick the knife into this particular vegetable?
I hate them at the beach – he looks like a horrible marionette and she some over-parented kid, cellist, swimmer, all of that, whatever.
But I do get the whole coming of age saga, and lord, I wanted an older woman to show me the ropes as it were way back then, but his car sucks. It really does.
He looks better when they’re running off together, but what’s with the run up the hill? And I think he does a cartwheel at some point. The music is like U2 even more annoying. But the sea looks fucking awesome! And a classic scene in the waves.
I do not like them snuggling, I’d rather they ran up another hill.
Okay, she’s psycho, like Gone Girl. No, no, it’s still him!! Wait a minute, we’re dancing again. And, dude kissed dude. Wait, dream sequence?
Sex sequence. She’s so beautiful. And so young.
Great job with the video and the parents watching it! Brilliant. Killer sequence.
But it’s her, she’s crazy. Now crazy. He’s past crazy. She’s now crazy.
Okay, they’re both crazy. Now they’re walking both drunk Virginia Wolff style to the water. Now, they are making out again. Not cool. She’s just too young and he’s, well, weathered…and old!
Oh, my god, but the end. The end!

Camping Sauvage is delightfully weird, just the kind of foreign language film I look forward to seeing.
Depressing...
The movie worked in a "Lolita" sort of way until the last ten minutes when Denis Lavant went all melodramatic and acted like he had lost his mind. The character of Camille was believable, a flirty little vamp seducing way above her ability to cope with the situation, but the character of Blaise never really gelled.
I HAVE THOROUGHLY ENJOYED THIS MOVIE,
