For this film, the Spanish horror icon Paul Naschy, best known for his werewolf roles, portrays a vampire. Those who are familiar with Naschy's films will not be surprised by anything in it.
I found this to be one of his better films. The production values are good for a low-budget 1970s Spanish horror film. The actresses, all of whom are quite attractive, make the slower parts bearable. There is also an interesting twist ending. On the other hand, the dubbing is not of the best quality, and the film looks faded and battered.
Count Dracula's Great Love is not the worst way to pass 80 minutes of your life.
