A fascinating and witty series of ruminations on family and memory, delivered in a jumble of the tropes of film noir (and back-projected backgrounds and exteriors of classic films noir).

Like filmnoirfan2012 said, interesting concept. However, the acting was so atrocious I couldn't finish it.
Nice ride, if you wanna fend off the cold heat of a lonely night.
Interesting combination of a dream and the interaction of the hero's father, grandfather and the women that they loved. The film is a mixture of B&W and vivid colors of the dream state.
Keep wanting to call this ‘The Chanteuse in Chartreuse’ rather than ‘Exterior Night’.
The back projection is used to great, varied effects. Achingly beautiful and dynamic in a cabaret, while campy and hilarious in a cab ride.
Time is so twisted and folded in this movie, that it’s worth several viewings to iron it all out.
A highly entertaining, funny and gorgeous movie.
i'll pass_going no place slow
I liked it. Kinda funny and cool.
There's a lot to think about in this flick, maybe too much for me. I would call this film "philosophical". Lots of talk and innuendo and puzzlement. Interesting thread about fathers and sons and generational angst. Technically interesting: color vs b&w, changing backgrounds, past vs present. Great effort.
Kinda' fun.
Great little film, exceptionally well done and photograhed.Watch it just for the noir backgrounds. It is very well done and well worth watching!
great technique
An interesting experiment in film making, not amounting to a whole lot.
Great use of black and white plates but I would have preferred a tighter edit. All in all, pretty cool though.
Interesting concept. Althought I frequently got lost in all the oneiric metaphysics of the plot.
Oh, dear. This movie got the thumbs down from my German class. We felt it was very amateuristic and slow.
