What this film lacks in photographic finesse it makes up for in conceptual cleverness. Throughout, I felt the film could have benefited from a more sensually charged visual approach, but I had fun anyway. It's funny, something I wasn't expecting it to be, and you can't get bored watching Tilda Swinton. It was amazing to see her craft such distinct personalities for the four roles she portrays. The script does her justice too despite the films somewhat unfortunate lack of symbolic eroticism. Would totally watch again though. Like I said, it's fun.
captions or subs, please.
WHAT IS BETTER THAN 1 TILDA - 4! <3
pretty, but disconnected narrative
Flat and simplistic.
thought provoking - love tilda swinton
Weird but fun!
I LOVE Tilda!!!!
Beautiful sets, simple yet fun story, great acting, loved it!
strangly erotic
If I were serious, I'd give it three stars, but because it was so cute, I gave four. Besides, I like happy endings. Congratulations to the editor and the technicians who managed to get Tildas, all three of them, in the same scene, and facing us. It is a sweet film. I'm still smiling. That whispering scientist/doctor may have had something to say, but not a word got through.
not really perfect but totally cool +Tilda x 4 is wonderful in all_so bright & charged a total delight _so much fun_and i love the color_code love
cliches given at the end are disappointing, summing it up so succintly. many questions unanswered. but an entertaining film, with adorable love sequence with an appealing male character.
SO FUTURE !!!!!!!!! SO BADASS !!!!!!!!!!!! SO COOL !!!!!!!!!!!
Someday, I suspect, this (these) may be regarded as Tilda Swinton's most memorable performance(s). It's a strange, thought-provoking and startling "little" film about those individual "primary" colors—the essential ingredients (including especially fear)—that reside within all of us and which demand their share of recognition as we discover new worlds within ourselves. Of course, the ingredients add up to our capacity for love, each of which seem to be as vital a component of our DNA's lifeblood as any immunity to chance. However, it's also a borscht-like mélange of a not-at-all hopeless future. Anything but dystopian, the story ultimately takes on a highly-charged feminine and maternal trajectory, though it is not at all exclusive of artificial intelligence, cultural viruses, flawed contagions, the state surveillance apparatus, and men—all of these, in addition to an ever-surprising capacity for becoming fully human. How it manages to remain unselfconscious, despite all the heavy topics it touches on in an absurdist world forever tottering on the brink of perpetual doubt escapes me. It also has some hilarious moments. Karen Black is superb in her role and serves as a shadowy counterweight to Rosetta's adventure out of innocence.
Crate cast, B/C level film making.
weird but the aesthetic was on point. interesting but not substantial
This is an entertaining, fun movie and a great one to see if one wants to relax with friends. It is worth watching and shows how much Tilda Swinton can be a physical chameleon.
Great if your a Tilda Swinton fan!
The writing for the geek girl is a little week but Tilda pulls it off.
I agree with Joshua M.'s review about the look of this film. Visually rather flat, no mystery, but perhaps this promoted the humor which was a highlight of the project. Tilda Swinton seems never to make a false step in any of the characters she portrays here.
Superb, but in a way which made its watching even more enjoyable. The crossovers between "Reality" and A Bio-Engineered "New Reality" make for an ever-expanding scope of quirky sometimes hilarious events.
Strange subject, pretty much a one actor piece. Odd, is the word.
GOOD VERY
Great review!
spot on review. I do wonder though how this reviewer would have realized his idea of infusing the film with symbolic eroticism.
