The way this is blended is wonderful, so much like real life in that when sleeping one wakes to find (or not to find) a mate sleeping nearby. The transformation between subconsciousness and consciousness also can happen in all the ways that it does in this short delightful glimpse into rambling romance such as it is. The short film made me want to see more and continue with the premise of eclectic thinking.

I was good with this until that last vignette which makes me think I'd better view the entire thing at least a second time.
Imagine that last with roles reversed: she, having risen early to prepare a him nice breakfast leans over his plate to pluck a mushroom or other tidbit, he reacts with disgust.
See my point? In the altered scenario most would see her behaviour as acceptable, cute, a natural continuance of the previous evening's intimacy, whereas his (over)reaction to the bit of harmless noshing would be expected to be seen as peevish, petty and ugly.
This is pretty clever and well-done. I know it is supposed to be comedic. And it is comedic. But is it OK to be depressed after watching this as well?
This is a really clever piece, fun to watch.
Love it! Well done!
For my senior show I did a series titled "Fickle" which is very similar to this short film. I loved the short film. The script was amazing as were the actors. I can relate to the lead actress on every level of frustration when it comes to ex-boyfriends.
Cute and very funny. Like Sex and the City condensed. ;-)
Guys are stereotyped and girl doesn't seem that likeable either. But the concept was cute.
A decent portrayal of a woman's choice of a quirky boyfriends and what irks her about each.
You can tell this was made by a man. Feels a bit like a comedy sketch rather than a short film, but it's not very funny. It looks good, though and the acting is fine.
Clever but predictable. Why are all the guys such assholes?
Courting is such sweet sorrow ... not really. Moral of the story: it doesn't pay to be so picky. (There I said it).
bad
Irritating, and not worth the time to regard. Unless you are a serial dater who get obsessive about trivial things and then this might make you chuckle or more likely become depressed. Because you long for deep connection and neither find it nor allow yourself to delve deep enough to find it. I guess it would be "cute" for those of you who are still out there unworried about climate change or nuclear annihilation but I know I want something more meaningful and while this is a short, I say, try harder, and so as not to be a hater: I hope making this got you laid.
A dozen failed relationship in only half as many minutes. Petty, absurd, poignant. A lovely slice of humanity and the quest to love and be loved in spite of ourselves and each other. Like Seinfeld with less schadenfreude or perhaps Sex and the City but more sincere, more vulnerable.
This film reminded me of a quote from Chang Rae Lee's Aloft where the protagonist suddenly realized with horror and dismay that he couldn't bring himself to marry his otherwise perfect girlfriend because she loved fast food.
Wow. The perfect short film - absolutely charming.
sweet
Utterly hilarious
Moves fast - clever & we hope the woman you marry doesn't have this much experience!
Talk about witty! Loved it.
okay
Not really my cup of tea
Being a huge fan of The League and everything/one associated with it- there is an acknowledged bias here. It was very creative way to traverse the female mind as she scrolls through her contact list- in a sense.
Clever and true and deftly done.
Quick and painless
Absolutely terrific short. Loved the concept. The 'boys' were all great.
