OK here's the review
Had she been more of a hesher, then Kate probably would've been more stoked considering how many metal bands devote songs to Bathory (Tormentor, Ghost, Bathory, Venom, etc).

Not a bad film per se. There are definitely moments that are pretty cheesy, and they seem to be fully aware of this, and play into it. At other times it's pretty serious, and takes itself in said way. Yes, it is about vampires, in a way, not really what you would expect though. Which is a nice change. This is also very 70's in a lot of cool ways. You can tell the directors, and producers enjoyed the Hammer films.
Great twist on vampirism that’s creepy and presented with strong visual style.
The theme is inherently campy, and sometimes the campiness is played to the hilt, (such as a granny vampire in cat eye glasses with stainless steel fang dentures) but for the most part it’s played straight to produce some very good atmospheric horror. Some of the 70’s styles and attitudes are also unintentionally funny.
The drug-induced hallucinations and blood-thirst withdrawal fits are a bit sweat inducing and are the scariest parts of the movie.
Enjoyable. Not perfect, but enjoyable. With foundations in Soylent Green, the paranoia of China Syndrome and the suspense of Coma, Thirst is a solid effort by the Aussie's and a great angle on the whole vampire myth.
You can tell the film leans on narration to clarify plot points that haven't been established in the action, and the sheer runtime of dream sequences can get a little tedious, but this can mostly be forgiven. This is a surprisingly good-looking film, thanks in large part to that sumptuous 2.35:1 aspect ratio. Look forward to Chantal Contouri screaming and a more literal exploration of rich people as the blood-sucking leeches they are.
I liked the movie well enough to see it to the very end.A little too bloody for my taste.Other than that, it was enjoyable.
SO-SO!!
"Thirst",
initially I was a bit sceptical that the film was another vampire flic. After watching the film tonight, my interest was maintained due to a realistic story line.. very 70"s in scope, a bit of the standard Evil attempting to conquer over the powerful good, blood/gore/brief nudity. I reccommend you watch this film only don't set your expectations too very high. Fun film!
Bring it on!
